In 2019-2020, 7,582 people earned their degree in aerospace and aeronautical engineering, making the major the 101st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, aerospace and aeronautical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $65,466 and had an average of $23,943 in loans still to pay off.

At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 370 aerospace and aeronautical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Aerospace Engineering Schools for a Doctorate” ranking looked at 37 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in aerospace and aeronautical engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great aerospace and aeronautical engineering programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
