Gallaudet is a small school located in Washington, District of Columbia that handed out 28 bachelors’s ASL degrees in 2019-2020.

In addition to being on our middle atlantic region bachelor’s degree asl students list, Gallaudet has also earned the #3 rank in our “Best American Sign Language Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking. Out of the 5 schools in the Best Value ASL Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania landed the #2 spot on the list. Bloomsburg is a medium-sized public school situated in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. It awarded 16 bachelors’s ASL degrees in 2019-2020.

Bloomsburg did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our “Best American Sign Language Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list. Rochester Institute of Technology is a fairly large school located in Rochester, New York that handed out 25 bachelors’s ASL degrees in 2019-2020.

Rochester, New York is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelors’s ASL degrees to 8 students in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at University of Rochester, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best American Sign Language Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking. It costs about $29,522 for Middle Atlantic Region Bachelor’s Degree ASL students per year to attend University of Rochester.

The student loan default rate at the school is 1.6%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%. Since the school has a student-to-faculty ratio of 10 to 1, those pursuing a degree will have more opportunities to interact with their professors. Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 92%.
