In 2019-2020, 2,737 people earned their degree in American Sign Language, making the major the 197th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, American Sign Language graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $30,270 and had an average of $21,733 in loans still to pay off.

At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 528 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value ASL Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 30 colleges that offered a degree in American Sign Language. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great American Sign Language programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
