2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for American Sign Language

American Sign Language is the 197th most popular major in the country with 2,737 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, American Sign Language graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $30,270 and had an average of $21,733 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,023 American Sign Language graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value ASL Schools for an Associate” ranking analyzed 12 colleges that offered a degree in American Sign Language. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great American Sign Language programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Top 12 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for American Sign Language
Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value ASL Schools for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Lansing Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. Lansing Community College is located in Lansing, Michigan and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 26 associates’s ASL degrees to qualified students.
LCC did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our “Best American Sign Language Associate Degree Schools” list. It costs about $4,828 for associate degree asl students per year to attend LCC.
Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value ASL Schools for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Saint Louis Community College landed the #2 spot on the list. You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value ASL Schools for an Associate. Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City is a public institution located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The school has a small population, and it awarded 13 associates’s degrees in 2019-2020.
OSU-OKC not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #3 on our “Best American Sign Language Associate Degree Schools” list. The estimated yearly cost for Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City is $6,753 for Associate Degree ASL students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Tarrant County College District. The school came in at #4 for the Best Value ASL Schools for an Associate. This large school is located in Fort Worth, Texas, and it awarded 22 associates’s ASL degrees in 2019-2020.
