In 2019-2020, 19,871 people earned their degree in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration, making the major the 186th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $30,328 and had an average of $11,782 in loans still to pay off.

At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,873 heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
