2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for General Business/Commerce in the Southeast Region

In 2019-2020, 55,749 people earned their degree in general business/commerce, making the major the 13th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,821 and had an average of $25,596 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 12,085 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,553 and $27,503 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 51 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $71,978 and $116,300 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 8 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general business/commerce. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general business/commerce programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 4 diplomas to qualified doctorate’s general business students in 2019-2020.
In addition to being on our southeast region doctor’s degree general business students list, Cumberlands has also earned the #8 rank in our “Best General Business/Commerce Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at Cumberlands are $4,582, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Florida State University. It ranked #2 on our 2022 Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region list. Florida State is located in Tallahassee, Florida and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 9 doctorate’s general business degrees to qualified students.

University of Kentucky ranked #6 on this year’s Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region list. UK is a large school located in Lexington, Kentucky that handed out 6 doctorate’s general business degrees in 2019-2020.

Emory University landed the #7 spot on the 2022 Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region ranking. Emory is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Atlanta, Georgia. It awarded 5 doctorate’s general business degrees in 2019-2020.

Tulane University of Louisiana landed the #8 spot on the 2022 Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region ranking. New Orleans, Louisiana is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out doctorate’s general business degrees to 3 students in 2019-2020.
