It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Best Value Education Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.

With 310,601 degrees handed out in 2019-2020, education is the 4th most popular major in the United States. In 2017-2018, education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $43,887 and had an average of $30,244 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 72,154 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,150 and $31,712 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 23,063 education graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value Education Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 280 colleges that offer a degree in education. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great education programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the education program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
