Engineering Technologies is the 19th most popular major in the country with 86,730 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.

At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 143 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for a Doctorate” ranking analyzed 17 colleges that offered a degree in engineering technologies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great engineering technologies programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
