In 2019-2020, 16,932 people earned their degree in computer engineering, making the major the 60th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, computer engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $68,762 and had an average of $25,829 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,151 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,393 and $25,713 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,443 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value CE Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 53 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer engineering programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
