In 2019-2020, 16,932 people earned their degree in computer engineering, making the major the 60th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, computer engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $68,762 and had an average of $25,829 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,151 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,393 and $25,713 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 528 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value CE Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 23 colleges that offer a degree in computer engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer engineering programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
