In 2019-2020, 30,670 people earned their degree in electrical engineering, making the major the 31st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $70,098 and had an average of $23,581 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,130 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,427 and $24,003 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,391 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region” ranking analyzed 34 colleges that offered a degree in electrical engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality electrical engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the electrical engineering program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

This large school is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and it awarded 395 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.
