2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Electrical Engineering in the New England Region

In 2019-2020, 30,670 people earned their degree in electrical engineering, making the major the 31st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $70,098 and had an average of $23,581 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 1,754 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $80,947 and $25,227 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 647 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,606 and $42,101 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region” ranking analyzed 15 colleges that offered a degree in electrical engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality electrical engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Out of the 15 schools in the Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Northeastern University landed the #2 spot on the list. Northeastern is a large private not-for-profit school situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It awarded 140 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.

Located in Fairfield, Connecticut, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 4 degrees to qualified masters’s EE students in 2019-2020.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The school came in at #4 for the Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region. WPI is a medium-sized school located in Worcester, Massachusetts that handed out 69 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at UMass Lowell, the school also landed the #12 spot in our “Best Electrical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region” ranking. University of New Hampshire - Main Campus did quite well in the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region ranking, coming in at #7. UNH is located in Durham, New Hampshire and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 4 masters’s EE degrees to qualified students.

University of Massachusetts Amherst ranked #8 on this year’s Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region list. UMass Amherst is a large school located in Amherst, Massachusetts that handed out 75 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.
