Health & Physical Education is the 11th most popular major in the country with 64,869 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $29,872 and had an average of $24,778 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 16,699 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,232 and $25,452 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 13,466 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Phys Ed Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 175 colleges that offer a degree in health and physical education. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health and physical education programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
