2022 Best Value Anthropology Schools for a Doctorate

Anthropology is the 77th most popular major in the country with 12,008 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, anthropology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $24,661 and had an average of $23,289 in loans still to pay off.
At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 531 anthropology graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Anthropology Schools for a Doctorate” ranking analyzed 83 colleges that offered a degree in anthropology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great anthropology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
