Electrical Engineering is the 31st most popular major in the country with 30,670 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $70,098 and had an average of $23,581 in loans still to pay off.
At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 9,791 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.

Out of the 214 schools in the Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k that were part of this year’s ranking, Princeton University landed the #3 spot on the list. Princeton University is located in Princeton, New Jersey and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 25 masters’s EE degrees to qualified students.

Durham, North Carolina is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s EE degrees to 109 students in 2019-2020.

Rice University ranked #6 on this year’s Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k list. Rice University is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in Houston, Texas. It awarded 41 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.
Rice not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #20 on our “Best Electrical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at Rice are $47,913, but some majors have different tuition rates.
Washington University in St Louis landed the #7 spot on the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k ranking. WUSTL is located in Saint Louis, Missouri and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 95 masters’s EE degrees to qualified students.

Vanderbilt University did quite well in the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k ranking, coming in at #9. Vanderbilt is a fairly large school located in Nashville, Tennessee that handed out 14 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.
Vanderbilt excels when it comes to EE quality. It’s in the top 15% of all schools in this category. Average graduate tuition and fees at Vanderbilt are $50,624, but some majors have different tuition rates.
Columbia University in the City of New York landed the #10 spot on the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k ranking. Located in New York, New York, this large private not-for-profit school awarded 182 degrees to qualified masters’s EE students in 2019-2020.

With a ranking of #13, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor did quite well on the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k list. University of Michigan - Ann Arbor is a large public school situated in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It awarded 244 masters’s EE degrees in 2019-2020.

University of California - Berkeley did quite well in the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k ranking, coming in at #14. Berkeley, California is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s EE degrees to 187 students in 2019-2020.
UC Berkeley also took the #5 spot in our “Best Electrical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at UC Berkeley are $29,347, but some majors have different tuition rates.

With a ranking of #15, University of Pennsylvania did quite well on the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k list. University of Pennsylvania is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 90 masters’s EE degrees to qualified students.

Purdue University - Main Campus landed the #19 spot on the 2022 Best Value EE Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $48-$75k ranking. Purdue University - Main Campus is located in West Lafayette, Indiana and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 82 masters’s EE degrees to qualified students.
