This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Rowan University. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Rowan is a fairly large school located in Glassboro, New Jersey that handed out 41 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
Rowan did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our “Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at Rowan University are $15,787, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.
Out of the 7 schools in the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Maryland - College Park landed the #2 spot on the list. This large school is located in College Park, Maryland, and it awarded 353 masters’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.

Morgan State is a public institution located in Baltimore, Maryland. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 18 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.

University at Buffalo is a public institution located in Buffalo, New York. The school has a large population, and it awarded 60 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.

The school came in at #5 for the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 5 diplomas to qualified masters’s engineering students in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Thomas Jefferson University, the school also landed the #6 spot in our “Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking. Carnegie Mellon University ranked #6 on this year’s Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Carnegie Mellon University is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 5 masters’s engineering degrees to qualified students.

Rochester Institute of Technology ranked #7 on this year’s Best Value Engineering Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Rochester, New York is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s engineering degrees to 12 students in 2019-2020.
RIT not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #5 on our “Best General Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at RIT are $50,442.
