In 2019-2020, 9,448 people earned their degree in industrial engineering, making the major the 86th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,716 and had an average of $22,994 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,641 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $63,360 and $24,071 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,784 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value IE Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking looked at 20 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in industrial engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent industrial engineering programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the industrial engineering program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

UCF is a public institution located in Orlando, Florida. The school has a large population, and it awarded 145 bachelors’s degrees in 2019-2020.
