Health Professions is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 2nd of all the majors we analyze. In 2019-2020, 934,088 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2017-2018, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,506 and had an average of $32,284 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 43,138 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,856 and $35,829 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,268 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $73,889 and $109,372 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Health Professions Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region” ranking analyzed 38 colleges that offered a degree in health professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health professions programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
