2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Accounting in the Middle Atlantic Region

In 2019-2020, 101,094 accounting students received their degree, making the major the 8th most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,557 and had an average of $26,381 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 15,838 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,126 and $26,341 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,034 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,733 and $16,201 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 90 colleges that offer a degree in accounting. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great accounting programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the accounting program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Suffolk County Community College. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Middle Atlantic Region. Located in Selden, New York, this large public school awarded 106 diplomas to qualified associates’s accounting students in 2019-2020.

Out of the 90 schools in the Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Nassau Community College landed the #4 spot on the list. Nassau Community College is a fairly large public school situated in Garden City, New York. It awarded 78 associates’s accounting degrees in 2019-2020.

Dover, Delaware is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s accounting degrees to 52 students in 2019-2020.
Delaware Tech also took the #10 spot in our “Best Accounting Associate Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking. It costs about $8,824 for Middle Atlantic Region Associate Degree Accounting students per year to attend Delaware Technical Community College - Terry.
Camden County College landed the #9 spot on the 2022 Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Located in Blackwood, New Jersey, this medium-sized public school awarded 10 degrees to qualified associates’s accounting students in 2019-2020.
The yearly cost to attend Camden County College is $6,603 for Middle Atlantic Region Associate Degree Accounting students.
Borough of Manhattan Community College did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking, coming in at #10. Located in New York, New York, this large public school handed out 155 diplomas to qualified associates’s accounting students in 2019-2020.

Orange County Community College landed the #11 spot on the 2022 Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Orange County Community College is located in Middletown, New York and, has a medium-sized student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 27 associates’s accounting degrees to qualified students.
