2022 Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region

Our “Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Accounting is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 8th of all the majors we analyze. In 2019-2020, 101,094 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2017-2018, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,557 and had an average of $26,381 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 5,460 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,268 and $27,204 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 515 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,967 and $17,711 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking, we looked at 24 colleges that offer a degree in accounting. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent accounting programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the accounting program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Out of the 24 schools in the Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Community College of Denver landed the #4 spot on the list.
