2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Accounting in the Great Lakes Region
When it comes to choosing a college, students have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. Our “Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Great Lakes Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2019-2020, 101,094 accounting students received their degree, making the major the 8th most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,557 and had an average of $26,381 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 15,309 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $43,733 and $24,768 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,955 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,508 and $17,812 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Accounting Schools for an Associate in the Great Lakes Region” ranking, we looked at 101 colleges that offer a degree in accounting. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent accounting programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
