Background

The University of Phoenix has long been a well-known name for distance learners. Perhaps lesser known, the school also offers numerous small campuses across the country where students can go for on-site enrollment, and take classes in a more traditional atmosphere, albeit the majority of their classmates will be non-traditional students.

Recent Closures

The model of Phoenix has pros and cons. Unfortunately for many hard-working Phoenix students, multiple campuses have been shut down in recent years, although the school still offers many places to achieve a degree, online and in person.
