Biotechnology is the 174th most popular major in the country with 3,911 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, biotechnology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,907 and had an average of $20,555 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 357 biotechnology graduates with average earnings and debt of $65,454 and $23,680 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Biotech” ranking analyzed 13 colleges that offered a degree in biotechnology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality biotechnology programs as well as strong veteran support.
