In 2020-2021, 57,778 people earned their degree in finance and financial management, making the major the 14th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, finance and financial management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,475 and had an average of $24,463 in loans still to pay off.
Across Virginia, there were 929 finance and financial management graduates with average earnings and debt of $52,732 and $27,590 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend James Madison University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for Finance list. James Madison University is a large public school situated in Harrisonburg, Virginia. It awarded 137 ’s finance degrees in 2020-2021.
JMU did well in our major quality rankings, too.
