In 2020-2021, 1,809 people earned their degree in insurance, making the major the 201st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, insurance graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $57,764 and had an average of $24,058 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 139 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,969 and $24,250 respectively.

Out of the 2 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Insurance that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities landed the #1 spot on the list. University of Minnesota - Twin Cities is a large school located in Minneapolis, Minnesota that handed out 12 ’s insurance degrees in 2020-2021.
UMN Twin Cities did well in our major quality rankings, too. You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Missouri State University - Springfield. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Insurance. Springfield, Missouri is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s insurance degrees to 17 students in 2020-2021.
Missouri State also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 5 of the 23,505 students enrolled at Missouri State were GI Bill® students, of which 4 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
