The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information science programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 14 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for IS for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Massachusetts - Lowell landed the #3 spot on the list. UMass Lowell is located in Lowell, Massachusetts and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 22 associates’s IS degrees to qualified students.

UMass Lowell also took the #5 spot in our “Best Information Science Associate Degree Schools” ranking.According to our most recent data, UMass Lowell supports 18,150 students, and 623 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 290 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
