Information Science is the 58th most popular major in the country with 18,325 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,394 and had an average of $28,852 in loans still to pay off.

Across Texas, there were 1,802 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $61,632 and $29,929 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for IS” ranking looked at 17 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in information science. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information science programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
