With all of the options veterans have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Construction Trades” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.

In 2020-2021, 35,794 people earned their degree in construction trades, making the major the 34th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, construction trades graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $38,184 and had an average of $11,556 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 12,165 construction trades graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,269 and $11,151 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Construction Trades” ranking looked at 8 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in construction trades. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great construction trades programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the construction trades program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Wake Technical Community College is a large public school situated in Raleigh, North Carolina. It awarded 296 ’s construction trades degrees in 2020-2021.

Wake Technical Community College did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 21,760 students enrolled at Wake Technical Community College, 1,066 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
