It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. Our “Best Value Assessment Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Educational Assessment is the 184th most popular major in the country with 2,552 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, educational assessment graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $55,573 and had an average of $34,777 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 234 educational assessment graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,835 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Assessment Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 19 colleges that offer a degree in educational assessment. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great educational assessment programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Greensboro, North Carolina is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s assessment degrees to 6 students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UNC Greensboro, the school also landed the #12 spot in our “Best Educational Assessment Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.
