In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.

Across Oklahoma, there were 583 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,802 and $25,801 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Oklahoma for Subject Specific Ed” ranking looked at 14 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in teacher education subject specific. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent teacher education subject specific programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

University of Oklahoma is a large public school situated in Norman, Oklahoma. It awarded 61 ’s subject specific ed degrees in 2020-2021.

University of Oklahoma did well in our major quality rankings, too. Stillwater, Oklahoma is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s subject specific ed degrees to 81 students in 2020-2021.

UCO is a public institution located in Edmond, Oklahoma. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 74 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

UCO not only placed well in this ranking. ORU is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 17 ’s subject specific ed degrees to qualified students.

Oklahoma Baptist University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The school has a small population, and it awarded 11 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

OBU did well in our major quality rankings, too. Southern Nazarene University landed the #6 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Oklahoma for Subject Specific Ed ranking. Located in Bethany, Oklahoma, this small private not-for-profit school handed out 8 degrees to qualified ’s subject specific ed students in 2020-2021.

SNU not only placed well in this ranking.
