University of Idaho comes in at #1 in this year's ranking. Located in the town of Moscow, Idaho is a public college with a fairly large student population. In addition to being on our best for vets list, Idaho has also earned the #1 rank in our Best Colleges for Teacher Education Grade Specific in Idaho ranking.

According to our most recent data, Idaho supports 11,841 students, and 394 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 274 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $7,314. During this same period, 19 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Idaho does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
