In 2019-2020, 9,530 people earned their degree in secondary education, making the major the 88th most popular in the United States.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 559 secondary education graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Secondary Teaching Schools for an Associate” ranking looked at 25 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in secondary education. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality secondary education programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
