In 2019-2020, 4,056 people earned their degree in engineering technology, making the major the 196th most popular in the United States.

At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,676 engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,303 and $24,501 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Engineering Technology Schools for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 41 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering technology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality engineering technology programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
