Mechanical Engineering Technology is the 132nd most popular major in the country with 6,013 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, mechanical engineering technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,639 and had an average of $22,526 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 1,429 mechanical engineering technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $52,196 and $26,125 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value ME Tech Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking analyzed 17 colleges that offered a degree in mechanical engineering technology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality mechanical engineering technology programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
