Agricultural Engineering is the 203rd most popular major in the country with 1,564 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, agricultural engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $55,175 and had an average of $22,449 in loans still to pay off.

At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 238 agricultural engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value AE Schools for a Master’s” ranking analyzed 28 colleges that offered a degree in agricultural engineering. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality agricultural engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
