Across Massachusetts, there were 632 general engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $73,764 and $15,089 respectively.

Top 6 Best General Engineering Colleges for Veterans in Massachusetts
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Northeastern University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Massachusetts for Engineering list. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, this large private not-for-profit school awarded 320 diplomas to qualified ’s engineering students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Northeastern, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 9 of the 22,905 students enrolled at Northeastern were GI Bill® students, of which 6 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $25,441. To help with additional expenses, 2 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%. With a freshman retention rate of 97%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.

Out of the 6 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Massachusetts for Engineering that were part of this year’s ranking, Massachusetts Maritime Academy landed the #2 spot on the list. Maritime is a public institution located in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. The school has a small population, and it awarded 60 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Maritime did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 1,637 students enrolled at Maritime, 75 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 31 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $8,796. On top of their other funding sources, 10 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Located in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, this medium-sized public school awarded 4 diplomas to qualified ’s engineering students in 2020-2021.
UMass Dartmouth not only placed well in this ranking. Wentworth Institute of Technology is a private not-for-profit institution located in Boston, Massachusetts. The school has a small population, and it awarded 11 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
WIT not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 136 of the 4,389 students enrolled at Wentworth Institute of Technology were GI Bill® students, of which 71 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
