General Engineering is the 79th most popular major in the country with 11,796 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, general engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $68,873 and had an average of $20,557 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 519 general engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $68,243 and $17,663 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Engineering” ranking analyzed 6 colleges that offered a degree in general engineering.
