In 2020-2021, 683 people earned their degree in literature, making the major the 264th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, literature graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,788 and had an average of $26,372 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 71 literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $20,202 and $26,695 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great literature programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Bennington College. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Literature list. Bennington College is a small school located in Bennington, Vermont that handed out 15 ’s literature degrees in 2020-2021.

Bennington also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 9 of the 799 students enrolled at Bennington were GI Bill® students, of which 6 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
