Top 2 Best General Writing Colleges for Veterans in the New England Region
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Western Connecticut State University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for General Writing. WestConn is located in Danbury, Connecticut and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 20 ’s general writing degrees to qualified students.
In addition to being on our new england region vets studying general writing list, WestConn has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 5,246 students enrolled at WestConn, 119 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 83 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $9,114. On top of their other funding sources, 3 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

Champlain College is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Burlington, Vermont. It awarded 20 ’s general writing degrees in 2020-2021.
Champlain also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 4,137 students enrolled at Champlain, 301 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 196 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $4,769. In addition to receiving other benefits, 26 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
