In 2019-2020, 77,593 people earned their degree in allied health and medical assisting services, making the major the 33rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, allied health and medical assisting services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $26,454 and had an average of $15,514 in loans still to pay off.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 18,777 allied health and medical assisting services graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Medical Assisting Schools for an Associate” ranking analyzed 667 colleges that offered a degree in allied health and medical assisting services. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality allied health and medical assisting services programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
