In 2020-2021, 84,492 people earned their degree in allied health and medical assisting services, making the major the 48th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, allied health and medical assisting services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,905 and had an average of $16,497 in loans still to pay off.

Across Florida, there were 6,706 allied health and medical assisting services graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,584 and $17,085 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for Medical Assisting” ranking, we looked at 26 colleges that offer a degree in allied health and medical assisting services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent allied health and medical assisting services programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
