Allied Health & Medical Assisting Services is the 48th most popular major in the country with 84,492 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, allied health and medical assisting services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,905 and had an average of $16,497 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 13,356 allied health and medical assisting services graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,337 and $15,939 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Medical Assisting” ranking, we looked at 55 colleges that offer a degree in allied health and medical assisting services. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great allied health and medical assisting services programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

With a ranking of #25, College of the Mainland did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Medical Assisting list.
