In 2019-2020, 4,467 people earned their degree in athletic training, making the major the 142nd most popular in the United States.
At the associate degree level specifically, there were 140 athletic training graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,082 and $17,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Athletic Trainer Schools for an Associate” ranking analyzed 21 colleges that offered a degree in athletic training. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality athletic training programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
