Bioethics/Medical Ethics is the 133rd most popular major in the country with 5,115 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, bioethics/medical ethics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $27,334 and had an average of $18,277 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Great Lakes region, there were 603 bioethics/medical ethics graduates with average earnings and debt of $24,026 and $0 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Medical Ethics” ranking, we looked at 9 colleges that offer a degree in bioethics/medical ethics. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great bioethics/medical ethics programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 9 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Medical Ethics that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor landed the #1 spot on the list. Ann Arbor, Michigan is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s medical ethics degrees to 6 students in 2020-2021.

U-M not only placed well in this ranking. Ohio State University - Main Campus is a large public school situated in Columbus, Ohio. It awarded 24 ’s medical ethics degrees in 2020-2021.

The school came in at #3 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Medical Ethics. Case Western Reserve University is located in Cleveland, Ohio and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 42 ’s medical ethics degrees to qualified students.

Case Western also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, Case Western Reserve University supports 11,465 students, and 109 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 69 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $18,799. On top of their other funding sources, 35 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

With a freshman retention rate of 93%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. Loyola Chicago is located in Chicago, Illinois and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 42 ’s medical ethics degrees to qualified students.
