In 2020-2021, 5,115 people earned their degree in bioethics/medical ethics, making the major the 133rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, bioethics/medical ethics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $27,334 and had an average of $18,277 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 235 bioethics/medical ethics graduates with average earnings and debt of $23,712 and $18,277 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Medical Ethics” ranking, we looked at 4 colleges that offer a degree in bioethics/medical ethics. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great bioethics/medical ethics programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Duke University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Medical Ethics list. This fairly large school is located in Durham, North Carolina, and it awarded 38 ’s medical ethics degrees in 2020-2021.

Duke also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 16,172 students enrolled at Duke University, 36 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 9 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $18,387. URichmond is a small school located in University of Richmond, Virginia that handed out 43 ’s medical ethics degrees in 2020-2021.
