In 2020-2021, 5,115 people earned their degree in bioethics/medical ethics, making the major the 133rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, bioethics/medical ethics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $27,334 and had an average of $18,277 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 742 bioethics/medical ethics graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Medical Ethics” ranking, we looked at 6 colleges that offer a degree in bioethics/medical ethics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent bioethics/medical ethics programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 6 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Medical Ethics that were part of this year’s ranking, Saint Louis University landed the #1 spot on the list. Saint Louis University is located in Saint Louis, Missouri and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 11 ’s medical ethics degrees to qualified students.

In addition to being on our plains states region vets studying medical ethics list, SLU has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 5 of the 12,229 students enrolled at SLU were GI Bill® students, of which 1 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. University of Minnesota - Twin Cities is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 4 ’s medical ethics degrees to qualified students.

UMN Twin Cities did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 52,017 students enrolled at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, 752 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. University of Mary is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Bismarck, North Dakota. It awarded 20 ’s medical ethics degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our plains states region vets studying medical ethics list, UMary has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, UMary supports 3,799 students, and 2 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $4,000. In addition to receiving other benefits, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences is located in Kansas City, Missouri and, has a small student population.
