When pursuing a degree in today’s world, veterans have many different options to choose from. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Health Information” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Health Information Management is the 251st most popular major in the country with 3,317 degrees awarded in 2020-2021.
Across the Plains States region, there were 292 health information management graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Health Information” ranking, we looked at 14 colleges that offer a degree in health information management. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health information management programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 14 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Health Information that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Kansas landed the #1 spot on the list. Lawrence, Kansas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s health information degrees to 16 students in 2020-2021.
KU also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 26,744 students enrolled at University of Kansas, 70 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
