In 2020-2021, 9,210 people earned their degree in health/medical prep programs, making the major the 104th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, health/medical prep programs graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,184 and had an average of $21,459 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 406 health/medical prep programs graduates with average earnings and debt of $24,521 and $15,813 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Medical Prep” ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a degree in health/medical prep programs. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health/medical prep programs programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the health/medical prep programs program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
