Health Professions is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 2nd of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 977,800 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,927 and had an average of $20,846 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 129,017 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,119 and $21,558 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 36,955 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,457 and $25,851 respectively.

This year’s “Most Well Attended Health Professions Major in the Middle Atlantic Region for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 250 colleges that offered a degree in health professions. To top this list, a school must have a successful health professions program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.
