In 2020-2021, 11,545 people earned their degree in legal support services, making the major the 106th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, legal support services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $31,370 and had an average of $27,882 in loans still to pay off.

Across Virginia, there were 541 legal support services graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,291 and $29,304 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for Legal Support” ranking, we looked at 6 colleges that offer a degree in legal support services. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great legal support services programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Tidewater Community College. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for Legal Support. This fairly large school is located in Norfolk, Virginia, and it awarded 50 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

Tidewater Community College also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 49 of the 16,769 students enrolled at Tidewater Community College were GI Bill® students, of which 45 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Regent University is a fairly large school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia that handed out 17 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

Regent did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 10,483 students enrolled at Regent University, 1,414 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Bryant & Stratton College - Virginia Beach. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for Legal Support list. Bryant & Stratton College - Virginia Beach is a small school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia that handed out 8 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

Bryant & Stratton College - Virginia Beach also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.According to our most recent data, Bryant & Stratton College - Virginia Beach supports 1,515 students, and 185 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 130 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Reynolds Community College is a medium-sized school located in Richmond, Virginia that handed out 22 ’s legal support degrees in 2020-2021.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Reynolds Community College, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 247 of the 7,759 students enrolled at Reynolds Community College were GI Bill® students, of which 135 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. University of Richmond came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for Legal Support ranking. University of Richmond, Virginia is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s legal support degrees to 21 students in 2020-2021.

URichmond did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Of the 4,056 students enrolled at URichmond, 51 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 19 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $5,556. During this same period, 15 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. URichmond does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

The undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 8 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one. The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
